FCT-Based Cross River North Stakeholders Endorse Tinubu, Otu, Jarigbe for 2027

By Goodness Ekpang

Stakeholders from Cross River North Senatorial District resident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Cross River State Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for re-election in the 2027 general elections.

The group, comprising leaders across political divides, professionals and community leaders, made the declaration during an endorsement rally held in Abuja on Saturday.

Core Reporters repirt that the stakeholders said their decision followed a review of the trajectory of governance under the leadership of the President, the governor and the senator, particularly in the context of the evolving national political landscape.

In a communiqué, presented by the Liaison Officer to the Governor in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Cynthia Nkasi, the stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to the leadership of the three political figures and encouraged them to continue their service beyond 2027.

According to the stakeholders, Senator Jarigbe’s political alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC) has positioned the Northern Senatorial District for greater opportunities and benefits from both the state and federal governments.

They commended the senator for what they described as “exceptional, broad-based and quality representation,” noting that his efforts complement Governor Otu’s “People First” agenda in the state.

The group also acknowledged the various projects facilitated and completed by the senator across communities in the Northern Senatorial District.

They further praised his contributions to education and youth empowerment, citing initiatives such as the placement of Cross River North indigenes in government establishments, facilitation of overseas scholarships, and the Jari Bursary Scheme for students.

The stakeholders added that Senator Jarigbe’s tenure has increased the political visibility and recognition of the district at the national level.

“In view of the above, we the stakeholders of Cross River North resident in Abuja encourage Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe to remain focused on delivering on his mandate and to seek re-election so that he can continue to provide quality representation to the people,” the communiqué stated.

The group also expressed satisfaction with the developmental strides recorded under Governor Otu’s administration, particularly efforts to complete projects in the Northern Senatorial District initiated by previous administrations.

They equally commended the economic reforms introduced by the APC-led Federal Government under President Tinubu.

Consequently, the stakeholders unanimously endorsed Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe for another term in the Senate, Governor Bassey Otu for a second term in office, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

They also pledged to mobilise support across the Cross River North Senatorial District and work with other groups and associations to ensure victory for the candidates and the APC in the 2027 elections.

Other speakers at the event included Amb. Akpang Obi Odu, Ntufam Fidelis Ugbo, Barr. Fidel Bisong Osang, Chief Peter Ojie, Hon. Martins Martin Orim, Dr. Dornclaimz Enamhe, Hon. Thomas Agi, Rt. Hon. Regina Anyogo, Chief Austin Edibe, Hon. Gabriel Bravo Oluohu, and RoyJones Akpak, among others.
