La Loi Records First Win of Ongoing CAVB AWVCC

Abuja (Core Reporters) Volleyball Club La Loi of Congo DR came from a set down to overpowered Sococim 3-1 (11-25, 25-21, 25-15, 25-17) to earn their first win in the ongoing championship.
SOC were brighter in the 1st set, running away with the set 25-11. In the second set VLL was the team to storm out of the gate! Some amazing rallies – back and forth, attack, dig, led SOC to call a time out. However, VLL is never a team to fold, and they started to chip away, eventually levelling the game 1-1 with 25-21 win.
VLL was all business in the third set. SOC was on their heels for the first four points by some very strong serving, eventually increasing their lead. VLL continued strong, extending their lead, and SOC called time out. It seemed to turn their game around a bit, and they managed to get closed the gap but it was too late as VLL won it 25-15.
VLL once again showed their strength and consistency – a combination of a super spikes and defence, and they rolled on from there to win the set 25-17, and the match 3-1.
In another game, defending champions, Zamalek registered 100% winning record in Pool B following their 3-0 (25-8, 25-14, 25-11) win over Spiking Stars of Botswana on Sunday.
ZMK attacked with purpose and led 8-2 within a few minutes. Powerful hits and monster blocks got a run of points for the Egyptians. ZMK were too strong and ran clear to take the set 25-18.
In the second set ZMK took the first point and a number of errors from SSP put ZMK firmly in front. ZMK led significantly and SSP had little answer as ZMK sealed it 25-14.
SSP were in trouble early on in the 3rd set again as ZMK pushed on confidently. SSP made some few points but, in the end, it was a clean 3-0 sweep, the last set 25-11 to ZMK.
