Abuja (Core Reporters) There are indications that the National Assembly, specifically the Senate many likely passed the Tax Reforms Bill for the third Reading tomorrow (Wednesday, March 12, 2025.

Core Reporters report that If information at its disposal has anything to go by then the Senate may pass the bills for its third reading on Wednesday.

Recall that both the upper and the lower chambers have conducted their public hearings on the Bills and the outcome showed that the nation is in dare need of the reforms.

Meanwhile,  while declaring the public hearing on the reforms open on February 24, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio had emphasized that a nation that fails to adapt its revenue framework risks stagnation and economic decline.

He said, “Today, we gather at a pivotal moment, one that calls us to reform, modernize, and optimize our tax system.

“This is not just a task; it is a profound responsibility we must embrace with courage, wisdom, and a steadfast commitment to the Nigerian people.

“As we look to the future, we must remember that a nation that fails to adapt its revenue system to the realities of our time risks,” heBills.

This may have underscored the need for the expeditious action for the bills.
