Protest has erupted in Lafia the Nasarawa State capital following Friday’s Supreme Court judgment affirming the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule as the reelected governor of the state.
Protesters who took to the street shortly after the judgement was given blocked Lafia -Jos road while burning tyres along the road.
Core Reporters report that motorists were forced to used alternative routes to pass out of Lafia the Nasarawa State capital while the protest lasted
An automobile mechanic, Mallam Dogo Audu who witnessed the protest called for the deployment of more security operatives to restore calm.
The protest also forced shops and business centres including schools within the Lafia metropolis to close down abruptly.
