The 10th Senate led by the former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Senator Godswill Akpabio began the plenary on a closed door session.
The session lasted about an hour before the commencement of the first ever plenary of the 10th Senate under the leadership of Distinguished Senator Akpabio who was elected as the president of the Senate on Tuesday.
Core Reporters report that the closed door session was to pave way for members to reconcile and pledge loyalty to the leadership of their new President, Akpabio after a tensed building up to the election on Tuesday.
However, with the look of things and coupled with the maturity of the Clerk of the National Assembly, Sani Tambuwa in handling the elections which was adjudged as one of the best in the recent times, Senators might have resolved to work together -in unity for the progress of the nation.
