Senator Ali Ndume is questioning the continuous increase of recurrent expenditure for the nation’s yearly budget.
Sen. Ndume noted that the 2018 recurrent expenditure as captured in the budget then was a little above N3 trillion and since then there has been embargo on recruitment by the federal government, but, wonders why the recurrent expenditure has continuous to rise even the when there is no employment.
However, the 2023 recurrent expenditure as captured in the budget appropriation as presented by President Muhammadu Buhari last weekend was above N8 trillion, a situation he is seeking for explanation.
