The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Osogbo Region, on the early hours of Thursday announced the annual maintenance on the 40MVA 132/33kV power transformer at the Iwo Transmission Substation

A statement signed by the general manager public affairs, Mrs Ndidi Mbah, said, “The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Osogbo Region, hereby notifies the public that routine annual maintenance will be carried out on the 40MVA 132/33kV power transformer at the Iwo Transmission Substation today, 4th June 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

“The maintenance is part of TCN’s ongoing efforts to ensure the reliability and efficient operation of the transmission network.

“Consequently, Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity to its customers in Iwo Town, Bowen University and Rabbish for seven hours only.

“TCN apologises for any inconvenience this will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.” She concluded.
