TCN Top Management Convenes in Abuja to Tackle Operational Challenges, Boost Performance

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has commenced a two-day top management meeting in Abuja aimed at addressing operational challenges across its transmission network and workforce, while charting practical strategies for improved efficiency and service delivery.
The high-level meeting, which began on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, was declared open by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Engr. (Dr.) Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz. It is being chaired by the Executive Director, Transmission Service Provider, Engr. Dr. Oluwagbenga Ajiboye.
The gathering brings together key members of TCN’s leadership, including the Executive Director, Human Resources and Corporate Services, as well as the Executive Director, Finance and Accounts, Mr. Chukwuka Ochijie. Also in attendance are General Managers from the company’s ten regional offices and the Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
According to the company, the meeting provides a platform for a comprehensive review of ongoing operational issues affecting the transmission network, as well as internal workforce dynamics. Participants are expected to develop actionable solutions that will not only address immediate concerns but also ensure sustained improvements in performance across the organisation.
The deliberations are also focused on strengthening coordination among regional offices, enhancing system reliability, and reinforcing TCN’s role in stabilising Nigeria’s power sector.
The outcome of the meeting is anticipated to shape policy direction and operational priorities for the company in the months ahead, as it continues efforts to improve electricity transmission nationwide.
