Abuja (Core Reporters) The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reaffirmed the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to fostering partnership and collaborations in its mission to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), Mrs. Folashade Joseph, the Minister emphasized the need for inter-agency cooperation to achieve shared goals and drive national development.

During the visit, Dr. Tunji-Ojo underscored the importance of collaboration in nation-building, stating, “No ministry, department, or agency can operate in silos. We must work together, exchange ideas, and leverage our strengths to deliver sustainable results.” He outlined plans to achieve near-food sufficiency in correctional centres by 2027 through mechanized farming, reducing food procurement cost and fostering a government-to-government partnership with NAIC.

“Everything we do, from passport administration to the internal security architecture, is built on partnership. Be rest assured that you have a solid partner in us,” the Minister added.

He assured Mrs. Joseph that her proposals would receive the Ministry’s full attention and this renewed collaboration marks another step forward in the Federal Government’s efforts to enhance internal security, ensure food security, and promote economic resilience in Nigeria.

Mrs. Folashade Joseph commended the Honourable Minister for his transformative leadership in enhancing internal security, streamlining processes, and improving business operations. She highlighted NAIC’s commitment to fostering collaboration with the Ministry to address emerging risks and build resilience.

She proposed areas of renewed partnership, including insurance for correctional service farms and equipments, guard dogs, motor vehicles, and staff accident coverage. Emphasizing shared goals, she stated, “By combining the Ministry’s expertise in security with NAIC’s capabilities, we can create models that promote economic stability and public safety.”
