Bianca Ojukwu unfolds plans for foreign affairs, as APGA Senator, lawyer, others fault Anambra APC disapproval

Although, the Anambra All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders have in strong term, faulted the appointment of the wife of late Chukwuemeke Odumegwu – Ojukwu, Ambassador Bianca by Mr President as the Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FMFA), by describing such as an anti party, reasoning that the appointee is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), but people among whom are Prince Orji Nwafor Orizu and the highest elected office holder in the APGA, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, other senators, who gave node to her appointment during screening on the floor of the senate, hailed the appointment.
Recall that at an interview she granted journalists after the screening at the National Assembly, she promised to align and ensure that Nigeria’s foreign policy will be implemented, which according to her involves strengthening democratic institutions around the world. This according to her will be done by developing, harnessing the economic potentials of Nigeria and ensuring that there be ease in trade and ease in doing it intra regionally and tapping into the demography of Nigeria.
Informing that Nigeria has about 75% population under the age of 43, she said that if the country can tap into extra ordinarily, potentials of the human capital, in this country, Nigeria will certainly move forward sustainably. She also added that engaging and utilizing the services of numerous Diaspora Nigeria has will go a long way, even as she added that more women in the cabinet will make all hands be on deck to move the country forward.
However, the Principal Partner, Friends Chambers, Abuja, Prince Orji Nwafor – Orizu described the appointment as a blessing and solace to Anambra All Progressives Congress (APC) and the state in general.
According to him, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu is one of the newly appointed and inaugurated ministers by Mr President, who assigned her to the FMFA as its Minister of State, an appointment some members of the Anambra APC kicked against, saying they were not consulted, before it was made.
Addressing journalists recently in his chambers in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), he said the appointment will not only give a solace to the party members in the state, but also to the state in general, even as he added that her credentials and pedigree showed that she will perform wonderfully well.
Urging the APC members in the state to give her all the needed support, saying that the way they are going about it will make one attempt to say that they don’t know the practice of the presidential system of government. Adding that the president is neither bound to pick only the APC members nor inform them, before he picks who he chooses to work with, he reminded that the holder of the most elective office in her party, the APGA, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe didn’t only adopt her, but also give her all the required support on the floor of the senate.
While hailing Mr President for Bianca’s appointment, the Nnewi born prince, however said that Bianca must be understood from her background to represent interests, including women representation and political reconciliation, with the hard core Igbo people (Ndigbo), represented by her husband Emeka Ojukwu.
He urged Anambra APC members to support Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, saying that Mr President had earlier moved from the APC in Rivers to appoint Barr Nyesom Wike from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), just as he added that there is no guarantee that all the present ministers are from the APC.
While speaking further, he said: “I agree that there is nothing wrong in consulting APC leadership and stakeholders before any appointment is made, but the most important thing to know is that, such consultation is not done by all the party members and my question is that how are we sure that some stakeholders of the Anambra APC were not consulted?”
He continued: “The CV read out by Bianca on the floor of the senate showed that she is a diplomat per excellence, having been: Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain; a representative of Nigeria in the UN World Tourism Organization, who was awarded the best African Ambassador in Spain. She is a lawyer by training and the daughter of former Governor C.C Onoh (late) of the old Anambra State and the wife of the former military governor of the then Eastern Region (River, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Imo and Ebonyi States, late Chief Chukwuemeke Odumegwu – Ojukwu.”
