Ahead of the Saturday re-run election in Doma South/Keana State Constituency Election, the Nassarawa State commissioner of police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni has warned hoodlums who might be planning trouble to steer clear of voting areas.
Consequently, CP Nadada summoned all Area Commanders, Squadron Commanders, Divisional Police officers, Heads of Departments, and Tactical Team Commanders for a meeting ahead of the upcoming election.
 While addressing residents of the constituency, CP Nadada assured the electorates of a hitch free election, adding that  adequate security deployments have been made to cover all polling units, Collation Centers, Constituency Collation centers, and INEC offices in the affected Local Government Areas where elections will be held, and called on voters to go all out and exercise their franchise without fear.
A Statement by the command spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel said, the CP warned that those planning to cause trouble at the voting areas risk being arrested.
The statement reads, ” I want to assure all residents that affected local government areas where the election will take place that adequate security deployments have been made to cover all polling units, Collation Centers, Constituency Collation centers, and INEC offices, so voters are expected to go all out and exercise their franchise without fear; because anybody cought trying to cause trouble would risk being arrested.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police charged all officers to be professional in the discharge of their duties and civil to electorates.
