New Era in Senate Leadership as NASC Appoints Agada Senate Clerk
Abuja (Core Reporters) In what looks like a new era in the Nigeria Senate, the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has redeployed Mr. Rawlins Agada as the new Clerk of the Senate.
Agada’s appointment as Clerk of the Senate is a significant milestone, marking a historic achievement for his community, family as well as his friends and colleagues.

However, with his distinguished career spanning various roles in the National Assembly, including representing Nigeria in the Pan African Parliament and serving as President of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN), Agada is expected to bring his wealth of experience to his new position.
His contributions to digitizing proceedings, recalibrating accreditation processes, and the inauguration of the National Assembly New Media Forum (NAMF) demonstrated his commitment to modernizing and enhancing the legislative process.
His recent appointment is a testament to his dedication and capabilities, and it’s a source of pride for his community, colleagues among others.
Meanwhile, in a letter dated 26th June, 2025 titled: Redeployment As Clerk, Senate and signed by Dr. Saviour Enyiekere , Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, NASC, states: “I write to inform you that the Commission has approved your redeployment from Deputy Clerk, Senate, to Clerk,Senate in the National Assembly, w.e.f 26/06/2025. This is in exercise of its powers as provided in section 6(b) of the National Assembly Service Act 2014”
“It is therefore expected that you will continue to uphold the confidence reposed in you in your new duty post,” the letter further reads
