As the Kaduna State Governorship Candidate of the New Nigeria’s Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi moved his campaign train to Jama’a and Sanga Local Government Areas on Wednesday, he has reiterated his promise to restore traditional rulers and teachers sacked by the outgoing governor of the state, Nasir El-RufaiHunkuyi, told his teaming audience that Jama’a and Sanga Local Government Areas of Kaduna State that he was the secretary of the committee that led to the creation of the various chiefdoms and emirates in 2001/2002 with the aim of enhancing peaceful co-existence, harmony and security in the state.
But, regretted that the outgoing APC led government has derailed from the core mandate of the creation of the various chiefdom.
Speaking at the palace of HRH Danladi Gyet Maude, Chief of Jaba in Kwoi, Jaba LG, Senator Hunkuyi said he will not hesitate to bring back the heads of traditional institutions sacked by the present state government, noting that human dignity is the beginning of civilization.
Senator Hunkuyi who visited wards, towns and villages in Jaba LG on Tuesday and Jama’a LG on Wednesday further noted that his government, if elected on March 11, 2023 will give free education at both primary and secondary schools.
Hunkuyi also said the schools fees jacked up by the present state government will be reviewed downward.
“By God’s grace, by May 29, 2023 if I emerge governor of Kaduna State, we will review downward the school fees jacked up by this present administration of Nasir El-Rufai. The excess school fees paid in 2022/2023 academic session by students in the state university, polytechnic, colleges of education, school of heath will be returned to them as bonus.”
Almost all the traditional leaders visited by Hunkuyi and his entourage, expressed happiness over the promises of Hunkuyi particularly on education and security
