Insecurity: Taraba State‘s Govt Reteirates Commitment to Sustaining Collaboration With NA
Abuja (Core Reporters) The government of Taraba State has pledged its further commitment to supporting troops of the Nigerian Army in tackling security challenges within the state. This, in appreciation of the commitment and sacrifice of the troops of the NA, especially the 6 Brigade in Jalingo, in their effort towards enhancing the security of the State.
The Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas gave this assurance when he led the federal legislators from the state and that of the state house of assembly to a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede on Monday at the Army Headquarters, Abuja. Pledging his commitment to sustaining the close collaboration between the state government and the NA to improve the security of Taraba State.

Responding, General Oluyede commended the governor and the people of Taraba State for their unflinching support to the NA in the state. Pledging the readiness of the NA to improve security in the state and the nation in general. He assured that the Army remains committed to defending the nation as well as combating terrorism and insurgency to ensure lasting peace in the country.
He said, “We recognize the importance of security in fostering development, and I assure you that we are resolute in our mission to stamp out crime and maintain peace, not only in Taraba state but the nation as a whole”.
The visit underscores a shared commitment to enhancing security and promoting economic growth in Taraba State and the nation at large, marking a positive step towards a safer and more prosperous future for the citizenry..
