In order to get to roots of the alleged relocation of fire fighting training stimulators from the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology NCAT Zaria to unknown location, the House of Representatives ad-hoc committee on Aviation has resolved to set up a 7-man committee to visit the college for facts finding.
Recalls that, Honourable Sodiq Ango Abdullahi had recently moved  motion at the plenary where raised the alarm of alleged relocation of fire fighting training stimulators from NCAT Zaria to unknown destination, and following the motion the house mandated its committee on aviation to probe the allegation and report back in two weeks.
However, on Tuesday, the minister of aviation, Festus Keyamo (SAN) while addressing the committee denied the allegations and went further to said that the allegation came to the ministry as a surprise, saying there was no such plans and attributed it to handiwork of detractors who want to cause disaffection.
He said, “we were bemused, we want to thank the committee for being proactive, it was bemusement that brought us here the stimulators is for training, without stimulators there is no training the minister alluded to..
The House Ad-hoc committee chairman  on Aviation, Honourable Akinlade Abiodun said though the minister and the rector have clarified the matter and debunked the allegation, but insisted that because Nigerians must get further clearer picture of the allegations the essence of the setting up of the 7-man committee to unravel any mistry behind it.
This, he said will help the committee report back to the plenary from the position of strength, while urging Nigerians not to draw a conclusion yet untill their investigation is over and conclusive.
