Abuja (Core Reporters) The Senate appropriation chairman, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi has urged the general public to disregard any kind of solicitation from his phone number, noting that his phone has been hacked by notorious hackers.

A statement made available to Core Reporters on Saturday’s night, and signed by Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola said, Senator Adeola will never request any individual to transfer money to any account on his behalf to solve some emergency or urgent problem.

The statement reads in parts, “The attention of Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi (APC, Ogun West) has been drawn to numerous requests for financial transfers to some accounts, obviously from one of his telephone lines that has been hacked by cyber criminals.

“Members of the general public, friends, relations, family members and associates are advised to completely disregard such solicitations as they are not from the Senator

“The matter has been reported to relevant security agencies and efforts are ongoing to track down the criminals behind the hacking and solicitation messages to associates of the senator and the accounts presented by the fraudsters.

“Senator Adeola will never request any individual to transfer money to any account on his behalf to solve some emergency or urgent problem,” the statement said.
