Ace Super Eagle’s midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi is drumming support for Ejike Ugboaja FC (EUFC) ahead of their opening game against Uniqstars fc on Tuesday in the ongoing FCT FA division 2 league
Recall that EUFC topped group E in the preliminary stage of the tournament, and are gunning for a promotion to division 1 of the FCT FA State League.
However, the former Lazio of Italy defensive midfielder, Onazi has off and on the pitch motivated EUFC’s players ahead of the commencement of the second stage of the tournament.
To demonstrate his support for EUFC, Onazi played with the team last Tuesday in their last friendly match before the kickoff of the second stage outsidehis regular visit to the team’s training ground.. His introduction in the second half of the encounter brought stability to the club as ex-Nigerian international laid passes as usual.
Meanwhile, the EUFC skipper, Odey in a chat with Core Reporters said, Onazi has motivated the team all round and they are ready to go, adding that they (players) have resolved to pick the available promotion slot in Group B.
Meanwhile, the president of EUFC, Mr. Ejike Ugboaja (MFR) who arrived the country ahead of the kickoff has commended the management team, technical crew led by chairman of FCT Coaches Association, Bartholomew David for the job welcome as well as the players whose dedication, discipline and commitment has brought them to the second stage of the tournament.
However, the Nigerian Olympian has vowed to continue in his quest to see all Nigerian youth are taken out of the streets of the 36 states and FCT.
