CAC Signs Letter of Collaboration to Strengthen Technology, Boost Service Delivery
Abuja (Core Reporters) The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has signed a Letter of Collaboration with a leading technology firm as part of efforts to strengthen its digital infrastructure and enhance service delivery to businesses and stakeholders nationwide.
The agreement was signed on Monday during activities marking the Commission’s 35th anniversary celebration in Abuja, underscoring CAC’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and global best practices in corporate regulation.
Speaking at the event, the Registrar-General/Chief Executive Officer of CAC, Ishaq Hussaini Magaji Hussaini said the collaboration represents a major milestone in the Commission’s ongoing digital transformation journey, particularly in the deployment of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence to improve turnaround time and customer experience.
According to him, the partnership will support system upgrades, improve platform performance, and deepen the use of digital tools in business registration and post-incorporation services. He noted that the move was necessitated by the exponential growth in business registration requests and stakeholder inquiries recorded by the Commission in recent years.
“CAC now receives close to 10,000 business registration applications daily, compared to fewer than 100 in its early years. Managing this volume efficiently requires technology-driven solutions, and this collaboration positions us to deliver faster, more accurate, and globally competitive services,” he said.
The Registrar-General also emphasized that the adoption of artificial intelligence by the Commission was no longer optional but essential, adding that the collaboration aligns with the Federal Government’s ease-of-doing-business reforms and efforts to attract local and foreign investment.
He further announced the launch of CAC’s newly redesigned website, www.cac.gov.ng, which features AI-powered tools designed to improve access to information, including an AI notifier that allows users to obtain instant guidance on CAC laws, regulations, and procedures.
Stakeholders at the event commended the Commission for its consistency in reforms, noting that CAC has become a reference point in digital corporate registration in Africa, with the capacity to complete business registration processes within days.
The signing of the Letter of Collaboration, observers say, reinforces CAC’s resolve to modernize Nigeria’s corporate regulatory framework and support enterprise growth through technology-driven service delivery.
