Plateau State Governor, His Excellency Gov. Simon Lalong

The Sports loving governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Simon Lalong, has congratulated the General Manager of Plateau United FC of Jos, Pius Henwan and the entire team for emerging as the winners of the just concluded (courtesy of NFF cancellation) Nigerian Professional Football League, NPFL and their qualification to represent the country in CAF Champions League.
Gov. Lalong through a test message to the ever ready GM expressed satisfication in the management of the State owned NPFL side.
Specifically, the team’s ability to return to the continental and pledged to supports the team all the way in it quest to continuing putting smiles in the faces of it teming supporters across the State, the national and the whole world.
“I want to congratulate you and your team in your returned to the continental and your feat as the winners of the 2019/2020 NPFL.”I want to assure you of my continous supports in your quest to win more laurels for the State. Therefore, whatever it takes for you to achieve more, i will supports you,” The test message read.
However, Mr. Henwan in an ecxlusive Chat with Corereporters said, he was very elated with the governor’s message of hope to the team, and promissed that the team will never let the State down and the country when the team files out in the continental engagement.
It will be recalled that Plateau United are set to fly Nigeria flag at the CAF Champions League, come next seasonFurther recall that the Jos based Highlanders finished atop of the NPFL clubs, before COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the league.
