A Nigerian activist Aisha Yesufu has urged the West to stop supporting African leaders who emerge through rigged elections in their respective counties.

The Obedient Movement follower said that what the Africans want from the West is not aids but they should stop giving their leaders the enabling environment to loot their countries .
She tweeted this on Friday on her Twitter handle  @AishaYesufu  in reaction to the ongoing military coups in some African countries.
According to her tweet, “We do not want aids from the West. What we want is for the West to stop giving enabling environment to leaders who loot their countries & invest the loot in the West.” Also to stop supporting leaders who emerge through rigged electionsThis will also help their immigration crisis,” she said.

In another development she said, Citizens across African countries were invested in the 2023 Nigerian election and the brazen manner in which the elections were rigged with such impunity threw away the last shred of hope many had in democracy. She said, “

The Nigerian 2023 election is now the new blueprint for dictators African Union has not shown that it is there for the benefit of the African people but rather it is there for the regime protection of African leaders. How can we have countries that have been ruled for decades by the same person and yet African Union does nothing!

“Nobody cares who anybody voted for and anyone on the ballot paper could emerge as the President but when the process is rigged for a particular candidate to emerge then that is a political/Civilian coup that should be condemned even if your candidate is the beneficiary,’ she said
