The newly inaugurated board of the Nigeria National League, (NNL), has vowed to develop the second tier league to meet the yearning and aspiration of sports loving Nigerians, and as well as international best practice.
The board chairman, George Aluo in an interactive session with sports journalists in Abuja said, his board is determined to lift the face of the NNL in all ramifications.
He said, the board in it’s inaugural meeting resolved that, only stadia that meet the required NNL stadium facilities craterial would be approved for the 2033/24 league season. He noted that the secretariat has been mandated to request all clubs to submit venue for their home matches. 
However, Aloa further stated that they have discover that referees are very important in the development of the league, as such they will interface with NRA leadership to solidify the relationship, with a view to proffer solutions to improve officiating in the league. He appreciated the NRA for their collaboration with the league so far despite limited resources.
According to him, “The NNL board also approved the composition of of 5 man rules and regulations/club licensing committee that will review the entire NNL framework in order to enhance the operations of the league. 
“The board after a thorough appraisal approved the 2023p/2024 calendar of the activities, as well as the 2023l/2024 league season budget as presented by the NNL secretariat,
” The board promised to ensure that the relegation playoff is concluded before the end of July, ” he said. 
Meanwhile, NNL board praised NFF president and executive members for their visionary leadership and their appointments. 
George Aluo is the new chairman of the Nigeria National League,( NNL) with Khamisu Mailantarki as vice chairman, Emmanuel Attah as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and others to serve as members include’ Yakubu Sarma, Sani Mohammed, Dr Donald Ikpe, Joseph Ebowusim and Dotun Sanusi.
