Grinders Foundation, 09 Bikers Club Honour Late Musa ‘Cyprus’ Ibrahim*
Abuja (Core Reporters)- Members of the *Grinders Basketball Foundation* and the *09 Bikers Club* on Saturday, 5 September, 2026, paid glowing tributes to Musa Abba Ibrahim, popularly known as “Cyprus” in a Memorial Basketball Game* following his demise in a ghastly motorbike accident barely a week ago.
The tribute formed the highpoint of the *Grinders Foundation’s 8th “Back to School” Empowerment Program* held over the weekend at *Mo Arena, Abuja.
Speaking at the event, President of the Grinders Foundation, *Umar Abdullahi*, described the late *Musa Ibrahim* as a brother, friend and passionate sportsman whose life impacted many within and outside the foundation.
“Cyprus” as he was popularly called was more than a member to us. He was family. His energy, commitment and love for people will continue to inspire us. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the work we do for young athletes and the community, *”Abdullahi”* said.
Also speaking, President of 09 Bikers, *Dr. Isa Iyortem, recalled the life and times of the late biker, noting that his passion for riding and his bond with fellow riders made him a cherished figure.
“Cyprus” lived with purpose and rode with passion. As 09 Bikers, we will continue to honor his legacy by promoting safety, brotherhood, and service to humanity, ”Dr. Iyortem” stated.
A minute of silence was observed in honour of the late Musa Ibrahim as members of both groups prayed for the repose of his soul.
The event drew student-athletes, beneficiaries, and well-wishers who joined in celebrating the life of the late “Cyprus”.
