‘Wonders they say shall never end’ Core Reporters have unearthed a grand plot by some group of property mafias mostly from the North allegedly in connivance with the Minister of FCT  to recover as much land as possible before leaving office in May next year.
There are accusing fingers to one ‘ WTL properties & Estate limited’ a company the Minister is alleged to be having interest on has forged property documents in a property that  was designated for garden and green Areas (Park 862, B03, Wuye Abuja (Spotlight garden Wuye).
It was alleged that the said company went to forge documents for a  Filling Station instead of the original allocation which was garden and green areas. However, in what may be surprise to many, August 26, less than two months now,  armed bandits struck at the garden robbed and killed a staff of the Department of the State Security (DSS),  Ajewole Olumide Oluwanifemi and a week after the incident, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) moved into the garden and purportedly revoked the allocation and demolished the garden therein, on the reason that it was operating beyond 7pm.

A month after, the alleged Mafias have moved in to the site ready to commence building of a filling Station on a land allocated to the Catholic Arch-diocese of Abuja and which was allocated as garden and green areas

A source from Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish Utako and Likeminds FC said that they are still surprise that a staff of DSS was killed in the said garden and a week after FCTA claimed they have revoked the plot of land, and a month later another acclaimed allottee is ready with materials on the site to build a filling station in the said property.

“Honestly, the Minister of FCT Muhammed Bello needs to come out plain on this issue, how would a DSS officer killed in a garden, and a week interval the plot of land that harbour the garden was allegedly revoked and demolished. Now just a month after someone is parading with a forge documents that a plot which was allocated for a garden and green areas has suddenly become a plot for filling station.

“Infact, the speed to which these things are happening is worrisome, so I think the best thing is for the Minister of FCT to come plain on this because no sane human being would not point accusing fingers on him especially now that there are alleged information that he has interest in the said company that is parading itself with all sort of documents,” the source said.
Meanwhile, the following questions are begging for answers; why is it that a staff of DSS was killed by armed robbers in the said garden and within a week FCTA  revoked and demolished the garden? And why is it that a land that was allocated for garden and green areas has suddenly becomes a plot for filling station?

The director, Development Control,  Parks and Hardens needs to explain how approval that takes several months and years to get just appeared in less than a month. And all these happened in quick succession within three weeks under government directives. And as at October 8, there is construction work going on in the site with government approval

Earlier, coordinator of the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), Umar Shuaibu, said that the owner and allottee of the demolished garden had received multiple warnings and notifications following repeated breaking of the rules.

He clarified that the choice to destroy the garden so soon after the attack was to deter future law-breakers and protect the lives of the neighbourhood’s residents.

He also disclosed that the facilities will not only be demolished but the allocation has been revoked.

Shuaibu argued that FCTA was enforcing the 7pm closing time for parks and gardens because of the peculiar security situation in the nation’s capital.

According to him, both the allottee and the operator of the garden will be prosecuted for the violation of the regulations leading to the attack and killing of the security officer
