The minister of State Power Gody Jeddy Agba has condoled with the Federal Government of Nigeria and the families of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. The minister described the late General as a military giant who was determined to purge the country of insurgency, saying it was a colossus loss to the government and people of Nigeria, the family members and the entire military profession globally.

According to a statement and condolence message signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr. Ofem Uket, the minister prayed God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He urged the military and top ranking officers to use this sad moment to reflect on their relationship with God the creator who in his infinite mercies has kept us alive.

It will be recalled that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday alongside ten other senior officers and crew members who were on board with him.

Meanwhile, the military officers were laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja on Saturday.
