Engr Sule, Dissolves Executive Council, Sacks All Commissioners, Advisers
The announcement was made during an emergency executive meeting at Government House, Lafia, on Friday, following Vice President Kashim Shetima’s departure after inaugurating state projects during a one-day visit.
Nasarawa State Governor Engineer Abdullahi Sule on Friday sacked the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Muhammad Aliyu-Ubamdoma, and dissolved the state executive council, including commissioners, senior special advisers, special advisers, and personal assistants.
The announcement was made during an emergency executive meeting at Government House, Lafia, on Friday.
Recall that the Vice President Kashim Shetima’s was in the state for a one day visit and departed on Friday after inaugurating state projects. And shortly after that the governor summoned an emergency council meeting where all his council members were dissolved.
A family source told Core Reporters that it was not a new thing for Gov. Sule to dissolved the executive council citing the 2021 instances where similar things happened and the governor. cited the need for a more effective and efficient governance structure in the state.
The source said, “If not to other people, for the governor it’s normal restructuring tour executive council after a while,”
Meanwhile, Core Reporters report that lobbying has commenced in ernest as the governor is set to appoint new members of the executive council including, the special assistants, senior special assistants, personal assistants as well as others.
