Fire Engulfs Popular market In FCT Abuja
Abyja (Core Reporters) A popular market at the airport road, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja has reportedly engulfed by fire at the early hours of Monday morning, report says
It was gathered that the fire broke out around 4am, though the exact cause of the blaze remains undetermined.
The market at Trademore Estate, located off Umar Musa Yar’Adua Airport Road in the FCT Abuja, was said to have gutted fire at the early hours of Monday with no exact cause of the fire infermo,, as investigation still ongoing to determine it cause.
Eye witness account has it that residents of the estate became aware of the inferno just around 4am. Monday morning. Adding that the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained but pointed out that electrical fault cannot be ruled out.
According to on of residents simply identified as Joe said, “We are unsure of the cause of the fire but an electrical fault cannot be ruled out,” he said.
“Efforts were initially made to contact both the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Fire Service.” He said, “The situation is tense.”
According to him, residents managed to alert the fire service stationed at Dunamis Church, who arrived around 5am.
Core Reporters report that Two hours after the fire broke out, firefighters from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Sauka stations successfully extinguished the blaze and brought the situation to normalcy.
