Wikki Tourists Technical Adviser, Adamu Abdullahi has joined the league of Nigerian Professional Footbal League (NPFL) club’s coaches who have thrown in the towel in the recent times. He accused the club’s management of interference.
Wikki are currently at the relegation zone of the Group B of the ongoing NPFL abridged league. They were defeated 2-1 at home by Bayelsa United on Sunday.
However, his predecessor Coach Kabiru Dogo resigned from Wikki on the claim that the club was poorly run by the management, now Coach Abdullahi has followed suit.
In his resignation letter made available to Core Reporters, Coach Abdullahi writes, “You may wish to recalled that since I took over as the TA of the club, I have not been accorded the opportunity to fully exercise the function of the office of the TA due to management interference and inability to take their responsibility during league matches which is a public knowledge. This action of the management has rendered me helpless, thereby affecting the recent performance of the club and also threatening my career.
“Consequently, based on the above reason, I hereby resign my appointment as the TA with immediate effect.
I wish to register my appreciation to the management for the opportunity given to me to serve as the TA of Wikki Tourists FC,” the statement reads.
