The President of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN), Prof. Mathew Adamu, represented by the Vice President, Prof. Halima Idrisa Gambo, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Yobe State, Dr. Mohammed Goje, at his office in Damaturu.

The visit was aimed at formally conveying the Council’s congratulations to Dr. Goje on his recent appointment and reaffirming the Veterinary Council of Nigeria’s commitment to supporting excellence and leadership in public service.

Speaking during the visit, Prof. Halima Idrisa Gambo conveyed the goodwill message of the VCN President and the entire veterinary community, describing Dr. Goje’s appointment as a recognition of his dedication, competence, exemplary leadership, and wealth of experience.

She noted that the Council is confident that Dr. Goje will bring his vast knowledge, skills, and positive attitude to bear in his new role, contributing significantly to the continued growth and development of Yobe State.

The delegation also presented a congratulatory letter from the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, wishing Dr. Goje success and wisdom in the discharge of his responsibilities as Acting Secretary to the State Government.

In his response, Dr. Mohammed Goje expressed appreciation to the Veterinary Council of Nigeria for the visit and the gesture of goodwill. He thanked the Council for its support and pledged to continue serving with dedication and commitment in his new capacity.

The Veterinary Council of Nigeria reiterated its commitment to promoting professional excellence and strengthening partnerships that contribute to national development.
