TCN MD/CEO Reflects on Year of Progress, Reaffirms Commitment to Powering Nigeria’s Future
Abuja (Core Reporters) The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Engr (Dr.) Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz has expressed appreciation to stakeholders and staff for their dedication and support, as the Company reflects on a year of measurable progress in strengthening Nigeria’s power transmission infrastructure.
In an end-of-year goodwill message, the MD/CEO noted that despite operational and sector-wide challenges, TCN recorded significant milestones in grid stability, transmission capacity expansion, and system reliability, made possible through teamwork, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
“The year under review presented both challenges and opportunities. Through professionalism, resilience, and collaboration, the Transmission Company of Nigeria continued to strengthen the national grid and support the delivery of stable electricity across the country,” the Engr Abdulaziz stated.
He commended TCN staff for their commitment and professionalism, describing them as the backbone of the Company’s achievements, while also acknowledging the support of government institutions, sector partners, and stakeholders.
Looking ahead, the MD/CEO reaffirmed TCN’s commitment to powering Nigeria’s future through sustained investment in modernising transmission infrastructure, expanding network capacity, enhancing grid resilience, and adopting sustainable solutions to meet the nation’s growing energy demand.
“As we move into the new year, our focus remains clear: to deepen reforms, improve operational efficiency, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver a stronger, more reliable transmission network for Nigeria,” he added.
