Speaking during the celebration of his birthday, the lawmaker announced the establishment of the Federal University of Okigwe, secured under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He described the institution as a landmark achievement that will expand access to quality higher education and stimulate socio-economic growth in the region.

According to him, the university stands as a testament to purposeful leadership and effective collaboration with the Federal Government.

In addition to the university, Ndubueze disclosed that a 53-megawatt power substation project located within his senatorial district has reached approximately 80 percent completion. The project, when fully operational, is expected to significantly enhance electricity supply, boost economic activities, and improve the quality of life for residents.

He noted that the community had experienced prolonged electricity challenges for nearly two decades, adding that the ongoing power infrastructure project marks a turning point in the area’s development trajectory. He expressed optimism that the substation would be fully commissioned before the end of the year.

The Senator emphasized that these achievements were recorded within his first three years in the Senate, underscoring his resolve to prioritize projects that directly impact the people. He also acknowledged the support of the Federal Government, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for backing initiatives aimed at equitable national development.

Plans are underway to formally commission the projects, with dates to be announced in due course in collaboration with relevant authorities.

The Senator reiterated his dedication to attracting more federal investments to the district and assured constituents of continued responsive and people-oriented representation.

He commended the Imo state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma whom he said has given him the needed support to achieved the little he has within the last two and half years in the red chamber of the national assembly.
