Senator Barau receives Kano Gov’s top aide, Sani Dambo, into APC

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has received a top aide of the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo, to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

Dambo, a two-time chairman of the Kano State Board of Internal Revenue, announced his exit from the NNPP, the ruling party in Kano State, to the APC during a visit to the Deputy President of the Senate at his Abuja residence on Monday.

Dambo was appointed Special Adviser on Investment by the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on 13th August this year. The governor personally signed the appointment letter.

Announcing his exit from the NNPP, Dambo pledged to work for the APC in Kano and at the national level.

” I thank Almighty God for guiding and allowing me to return to our home. I belonged to this house before I joined the NNPP, but now I am back in the APC.

” We will continue to support this journey and remain committed and loyal to the APC in Kano and at the national level.

” I will use all my talents and expertise to work for the success of APC. I wish Senator Barau all the best. I also send my regards to the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. May Almighty Allah continue to bless and guide them all,” he said.

Similarly, Alhaji Rabiu Alhassan Durum, one of the leading figures of the NNPP in Kabo LGA of Kano State, has also joined the APC.

Welcoming the two grassroots politicians to the APC, the Deputy President of the Senate commended them for the decision.

Senator Barau, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, reiterated the commitment of the APC-led Federal Government to address the challenges facing the country.

” These distinguished individuals have demonstrated their determination and dedication to the progress of our state and nation. Their commitment aligns with the APC’s core values and principles- the country’s transformation.

” We will work with them and all those who are genuinely committed to the transformation of our country in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Let’s work together to address the challenges facing us as a nation,” he said.
