Abuja (Core Reporters) The All Progressives Congress (APC) national organising secretary, H.E (Alh.) Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu has said that the scheduled Rivers State elective congresses for Saturday, November 16, 2024, will proceed as planned.
He made this known on Friday’s evening through a press statement he signed by himself.
According to him, “The ex-parte order in Suit No: PHC/2699/CS/2024 between Peter Ohochukwu & Anor vs. His Excellency, Abdullahi Ganduje & 5 Ors, which initially restrained the APC from conducting the congress, has been vacated.
“The Rivers State High Court has ruled that there is no order preventing the APC from organizing the Rivers State Elective Congress.
“In light of this development, the APC will proceed with the Congress, reaffirming its commitment to due process and the rule of law,” the statement read.
