It seems the five years journey of Mike Idoko at the helm of Lobi Stars as the club vice-chairman is gradually coming to an end, as Core Reporters can authoritatively report that plans are already underway to relieve him from the position.

Idoko took over the mountain of the leadership of Lobi Stars in early 2016 from Mr. Dominic Iorfa who held sway in the team for fourteen years.

Iorfa enjoyed the position during the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, but shortly after Gov. Samuel Ortom emerged the governor of the state in 2015  he appointed Idoko to replaced a supposedly ‘PDP MAN’. Now that Ortom is back to PDP and with the current protest of IDOKO MUST GO rocking the Benue state capital, Makurdi which started on Sunday the former Sunshine boss seems helpless and will soon be shown the exit door.

Our informed sources at the corridor of the government house, Makurdi said that Gov. Ortom is giving Idoko time to resign his appointment by himself so that he can appoint another person to head the club having been briefed of his leadership style which is not favourable to the club’s stakeholders but, Idoko seems adamant, a situation our sources opined that the governor is left with no option than to fired him.

Core Reporters’ investigation also showed that the man behind the appointment of Idoko and who also stood by him even when he was almost sacked in 2019 has finally back-out living him at the mercies of the governor.

Core Reporters can authoritatively report that; Dominic Iorfa, Godwin Uwua and Tom Uwuna are the likely candidates to replace Idoko if Gov. Ortom eventually sacks him.
