As the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) resumes actions at the weekend for the second stanza of the ongoing 2020/21 season, the chairman of the Kano State-based NPFL side, Surajo Yahaya Jambul is optimistic that they are going to finish top on the league table.
Jambul in a telephone conversation with New National Star over the weekend said despite they are playing their home games in Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna away from home the players and the technical crew are ready to make the state proud.
According to him, the state government has motivated the players and the technical crew as well as others to go out there and showcase their God’s given talents so that at the end of the season they will have cause to celebrate.
The Sai Masu Gida’s boss revealed that Pillars who are currently in the second position behind the table topper, Kwara United will step up their game as the league resume for the second stanza.
However, Kwara United are top of the table with 36 points in 19 games, while Pillars are with the same 36 points in 19 games but with goal differences.
Also, are in the third position with 33 points in 18 games, Enugu Rangers are in the fourth position with 30 points in 18 games, while Enyimba International FC is in the fifth position with 30 points in 15 games.
Jambul noted that the officiating and the general management of the league so far has been fantastic therefore, every team is playing freely without obstruction, a situation he said based on the players and the technical crew in their kitchen there is no how they can’t win the league.
“Officiating and the management of the league this season has been wonderful, there haven’t been differences between playing at home and playing away, therefore those are the things we like in Pillars where teams are given equal opportunity. I can assure you with this fantastic officiating in the league, Pillars will end the season very high,” Jambul boasted.
