The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) ninth-placed Nasarawa United on Wednesday held the table topper Remo Stars to a barren draw on matchday 3.
Newly promoted Remo Star FC are currently top of the table with seven points in three games followed by the reigning Champions Akwa United in second place with seven points having piped Gombe United 1-0 in Uyo on Wednesday.
However, Nasarawa United went into the game with two points having drawn their last two games and with the intention to pick maximum points but settle for a draw.
Meanwhile, Rivers United piped Enyimba FC 1-0 in Aba and moved to third position on the log. Heartland also piped Dakkada FC 1-0 in Owerri as Kwara United also beat Wikki Tourists 1-0 in Ilorin.
Lobi Stars defeated Shooting Stars 2-1 in Makurdi, while Sunshine Stars and Enugu Rangers settled for a barren draw in Akure and MFM defeated Plateau United 1-0 in Lagos, a victory that turned out to be their first in the ongoing season.
Remo Stars, Akwa United, Rivers United, and Kwara United united are in first, second, third, and fourth position respectively.
While, Katsina United, Kano Pillars, Sunshine Stars, and Shooting Stars are lying at the bottom of the table in twenty, nineteenth, eighteenth, and seventh positions respectively.
