Abuja (Core Reporters) The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, extends his warmest congratulations to His Excellency Jean-Claude Gakosso, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Congolese Abroad of the Republic of the Congo, as the nation marks its Independence Anniversary.

This anniversary is a proud symbol of the determination, unity, and resilience of the Congolese people in their journey towards sovereignty and national development. As Nigeria joins in celebrating this historic milestone, we reaffirm our shared commitment to peace, mutual respect, and the enduring bonds of African brotherhood.

Nigeria and the Republic of the Congo have maintained warm and cooperative relations, strengthened by collaboration in trade, cultural exchange, maritime affairs, and regional peace initiatives.

“On this special occasion, Nigeria reiterates its readiness to strengthen these valued ties, explore new areas of mutual benefit, and continue working with the Republic of the Congo to address regional and global challenges.

“Once again, we extend our warmest regards to the Government and People of the Republic of the Congo, with hopes for lasting harmony, economic advancement, and shared prosperity.”
