Kwara, Pillars, Lobi others win as MFM, Ifeanyi Ubah draw

As the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rounded up the first stanza of the 2020/2021 season on Sunday, the table topper, Kwara United and the second place Kano Pillars feasted on their visitors as they maintained top positions.

Kwara decimated Nasarawa United by two un-reply goals at the week 19th encounter to remain top of the table, while Pillars pipped relegated threaten Warri Wolves 1-0 to maintain the second position on the log.

However, Lobi Stars swimming in the euphoria of their new chairman, Emmanuel Tama Aondofar came from one goal down in the first half to picked the three points in the highly tense encounter as the game ended 2-1 in Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.

Also, Dakkada FC triumphed over Rivers United in Uyo beating their visitors 4-2.  Wikki Tourists humbled Katsina United 3—0 at Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, while MFM shared the spoil with Ifeanyi Ubah in Lagos as the game ended in 1-1 goal apiece.

Meanwhile, Adamawa United, Ifeanyi Ubah and Katsina United are currently wallowing in the relegation zone in the 19th old season.
