Kwara 2027: Hon. Bolarinwa Picks APC Nomination Forms, Pledges Security, Better Living Standards

By Raphael Ekpang

Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, former chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State, has picked up his expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence in securing the mandate of the people.

Speaking on his ambition, Bolarinwa said his decision to join the race is driven by a desire to consolidate the achievements of the current administration led by AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq while improving the quality of life of residents across the state.

He said his administration would focus on raising living standards, expanding access to quality healthcare, and creating opportunities that would improve the welfare of the people.

Bolarinwa identified insecurity as one of the major challenges confronting the state, particularly in Kwara North and Kwara South, noting that several communities have been affected by bandit attacks and related violence.

He said tackling insecurity would be a central pillar of his agenda, stressing that restoring safety in affected communities is critical to economic growth and social development.

“Security will remain a priority because no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of fear and instability.”

He added that his programme would also prioritise education, healthcare, and other essential sectors aimed at improving the overall wellbeing of residents.

Bolarinwa assured the people of Kwara State that, if elected, his administration would work to deliver a more secure future, stronger economic opportunities, and improved living conditions across the state.
