In order to contain the recent onslaught by Kidnappers and bandits within the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa State Commissioner of police, Umar Shehu Nadada has ordered the deployment of operatives and vigilante to identified areas of the state bordering the FCT.
Consequently, CP Nadada, in a statement which was made available to Core Reporters by the command spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel
urged residents of the state to make available informations about strange movements in their communities.
CP Nadada said that the deployment has become necessary in respect to the recent security issues being experienced in the FCT, while adding that there is need to be proactive and prevent the issues from escalating into the state.
He however, tasked Area Commanders in New Karu and Keffi, as well as all Divisional Police officers under them to mobilize their personnel and Vigilante groups to partner with the traditional rulers, Community leaders and sister security agencies inorder to dominate the areas.
He charges them to be civil to members of the public, as no laxity and unprofessional conduct shall be tolerated.
The Police Boss implores residents to be rest assured that the police command is working tirelessly to provide an impregnable security architecture in the state, and their safety is being looked after.
