Abuja (Core Reporters)- The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has called for stronger collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the National Orientation Agency (NOA) to promote national values, deepen public awareness, and prevent conflicts through early intervention.
The IGP made the call on Thursday, August 6, when he received the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, during a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

During the meeting, the NOA Director-General reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to promoting national values, civic responsibility, and public enlightenment. He highlighted the Nigeria Identity Project and the National Values Charter as key initiatives aimed at fostering national unity and social cohesion.
Issa-Onilu also proposed closer collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force in the areas of public sensitisation, intelligence sharing, and early conflict prevention to enhance peace and security across the country.
In his remarks, IGP Disu stressed the importance of professionalism, respect for human dignity, and ethical policing as essential pillars for strengthening public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.

He further urged Nigerians to use social media responsibly by verifying information before sharing it, warning that the spread of false information could undermine public safety and national stability.
The Inspector-General also emphasized the need to instill positive values among young people and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to sustained partnership with the National Orientation Agency in advancing national security, responsible citizenship, and national development.
