The Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on sport, Law Possible Ediba

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue State on sports, veteran sports journalist, Law Possible Ediba has charged all the 23 local government chairmen in the State, to support moves towards reviving sporting activities at the grassroots level.
Mr Ediba who gave the charge on Wednesdsy during a courtesy call on the Special Adviser to the Governor on Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Jerome Tor Shimbe in Makurdi, sued for support and cooperation of the SA and the council chairmen in order for grassroots sports in their areas to succeed.
In his response, the Special Adviser, Tor Shimbe congratulated Mr Ediba for his appointment as it was based on merit, his integrity, hard work and commitment to sports development in the state and urged him to continue to write and promote youth development in sports as it was also an aspect the governor does not take for granted.
Mr Tor Shimbe assured of the Bureau’s support to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN, saying sports is health and wealth and so the youths should be encouraged to engage in sports for optimal development.
