Gov. Sule promises to improve legion’s welfare, as he laid wreaths at cenotaph

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule has assured of his administration’s readiness to support Nigeria legion in order to succeed and improve on their welfare.

The Governor gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen during the ceremony marking the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Lafia on Monday.

The event titled ” We Remember Our Fallen Heroes” Governor Sule  said that his administration would continue to support Nigeria legion to succeed.

” Today is a historic day, this is a day we remember our fallen Heroes who fought hard for our freedom and our independence.

” And have continue to fight in other countries in order to defend humanity.

” You have seen a lot has been going on here in the state , the legion has continue to receive our support,” he said

Governor Sule reiterated  that he has provided the legion with vehicles and more resources in order to operate efficiently.

According to him “From what you have seen this year, we have already provided them with vehicles and we have provided them with more resources in order to have the legion operating more efficiently,” he said.

Core Reporters reported that the  event featured special prayers for the fallen heroes, who fought for the peace, unity and integration of the country.

The Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly  Rt.Hon. Danladi Jatau, the State Chief Judge, Justice Aisha Bashir and the Emir of Lafia justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Rtd) as well as the State Deputy Governor among other dignitaries attended the event.
