Former Minister wishes NUJ Council ‘s Chairman Grace Ike Successful Tenure
Abuja (Core Reporters) The former Minister of women affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen on Tuesday joined other Nigerians in congratulating the brown new chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT council, Grace Ike on her emergence as the first female chairman of council after 43 years of existence.
Recall that on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, FCT journalists elected Ms Ike as the new chairman after the expiration of Patrick Osadebamwen led exco. Though she emerged unopposed.
Tallen, while presenting a Christmas souvenir to the chairman of council wished her success and an outstanding performance in moving the council and members forward.
Earlier, while briefing the former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Comrade Ike assured of her team’s determination to take the council to an enviable height by prioritizing welfare of members, promoting the image of the union and appealed for support and guidance.
Core Reporters report that Comrade Grace Ike, who paid a courtesy visit to Dame Tallen’s residence in Abuja was in company of the treasurer, Ms Sandra Udeike
