As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, Igoche Mark, initiator of the Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship and a leading basketball promoter, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria.
In a goodwill message, Mark prayed for the acceptance of all acts of worship observed during the sacred period. “As we conclude this blessed month of Ramadan, I pray that Almighty Allah accepts all our acts of ibadah and grants us the blessings of Shawwal,” he said.
Reflecting on the significance of Ramadan, Mark highlighted the enduring values of discipline, empathy, and unity fostered during the month. He urged Muslims to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting period.
“Ramadan teaches us discipline, empathy, and unity. As we celebrate Eid, let us carry forward these values in our daily lives and within our communities,” he stated.
Mark noted that these principles align closely with the vision of the Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship, a flagship initiative focused on youth development and sportsmanship. According to him, the platform not only nurtures talent but also instills essential life values in young athletes.
“Basketball promotes teamwork, perseverance, and respect—qualities that resonate strongly with the lessons of Ramadan,” he added.
He further encouraged Muslims and Nigerians at large to remain committed to excellence and national development through positive engagement, including sports.
“May our fasting, prayers, and good deeds be richly rewarded. Let us continue to work together to uplift our country through unity and constructive activities,” Mark said.
Emphasizing the importance of national cohesion, he called on citizens to strengthen bonds across communities.
“As we celebrate Eid, let us deepen our connections with family, friends, and fellow Nigerians. Together, we can achieve greater heights as a nation,” he concluded.
The Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship continues to serve as a catalyst for youth engagement and talent development, with plans underway to expand its reach and impact in the coming years.
Igoche Mark and the Mark D’Ball Basketball Championship family wished Muslims in Nigeria a peaceful, joyful, and blessed Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
