Dekina PDP Chairman Urges Massive Turnout for Party e-Registration in Kogi
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Abdullahi Omede, has called on residents and party supporters to actively participate in the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.
Omede made the appeal while encouraging both new and existing members to take advantage of the e-registration initiative, describing it as a critical step toward rebuilding and consolidating the PDP’s support base ahead of future political activities.
According to him, the digital registration process offers Nigerians an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to the party and demonstrate that the PDP remains a formidable political force.
“Let us take advantage of e-registration to show Nigerians that the PDP is still the party to beat. We are ready to return power to the people,” he said.
The Dekina PDP chairman also cautioned members against being swayed by speculations that the party has weakened due to internal disagreements.
He acknowledged that while the PDP had faced some internal challenges, they were temporary and had not undermined the party’s strength or relevance, particularly at the grassroots level.
“People should not be misled by the noise suggesting that the PDP is no longer strong because of minor internal issues. We are back and stronger,” Omede stated.
Reaffirming the party’s dominance in the area, he stressed that the people of Dekina have long identified with the PDP and remain committed to its ideals and leadership.
“Dekina Local Government is PDP, and PDP is Dekina Local Government,” he added.
Omede further urged party faithful—including youths, women, and other stakeholders—to fully embrace the e-registration exercise, noting that it would enhance the party’s membership database and position it for future electoral success.
