CRS: Governor Prince Otu orders suspension of civil servants recruitment in the state

The governor of Cross River State has ordered the suspension of civil servants recruitment going on in the state till further notice.
The directive which was given on Tuesday was to allow civil servants subject themselves to screening and proper documentation in the office of the secretary to the State government in a yet to be fix date.
Also, in a statement signed by Emmanuel Ogbeche, the Chief Press Secretary to governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the governor approved the comprehensive reverification of civil servants in the state civil service.
The statement reads, “In line with the Cross River State government’s desire to reposition the state civil service to meet modern day service delivery objectives, as well as to enable the government to plan effectively for the overall good of our hardworking civil servants, His Excellent, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, has approved a comprehensive reverification  of civil servants in the state civil service
” Revalidation of all promotions carried out within the last six months and the suspension of ongoing recruitment of civil servants till further notice.” It added.
