Lafia (Core Reporters) The people of Ogbadibo Local Government Area have spoken louder on the proposed creation of Apa State as they threw their weight behind the call, aligning with the position of the Honourable Member representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Chief (Dr) Philip Agbese.

This was the thrust of a submission made by the Ogbadibo delegation during the ongoing constitutional review exercise by the House of Representatives Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution ongoing in Lafia, NasarawaState. The delegation was led by Barr. John Ali Ude, a community leader and renowned business mogul

In their presentation, the delegation not only expressed strong support for the creation of Apa State but also made key demands aimed at enhancing representation and grassroots governance within Ogbadibo LGA.

Specifically, the delegation formally requested:

1. The reinstatement of the abolished Otukpa State Constituency, which was merged into the current Ogbadibo State Constituency.

2. The establishment of Orokam Local Government Area from the existing Ogbadibo LGA.

3. The creation of Owukpa Local Government Area, also from the current Ogbadibo LGA.

The delegation and other stakeholders at the session commended Hon. Agbese for his relentless and impactful representation, describing him as a true servant of the people whose legislative actions reflect the collective aspirations of his constituency.

Their united stance was seen as a demonstration of growing grassroots mobilization and consensus behind constitutional reforms that promote equity, local autonomy, and improved development outcomes across Benue South.
