Breaking: NUJ FCT Council distributes Rice to Members for Christmas Package
Grace Ike led Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council executives have distributed rice to its members for Christmas package.
Walking the talk of her campaign’s promises, Comrade Ike rolled out 10kg bags of rice to the teaming members of the Council.
This is coming on the heel of the current hardship in the country which was visible in last week food stampede in Anambra and Oyo states as well as the FCT which claimed over 60 lives of hungry Nigerians who went for free Christmas food.
Core Reporters report that members of the union are currently seeing carrying away a bag of 10kg Royal Stallion rice each from the council secretariat located at Utako district of the Federal Capital Territory. Abuja.
Recall that on Thursday members also gathered at the council secretariat for Christmas Carol. These events were put together barely less than three weeks in office.
A member who spoke to Core Reporters on a phone interview from the council secretariat said, Grace Ike-led executives have started on a good note, but pray that they continue like this till the end of their tenure.
“You can see it yourself, they have started on a very good note, my prayer is that they should not be distracted, let them keep the excitement on,” the member said.
The sharing of the Rice is currently ongoing at the council secretariat.
