There are indications that terrorists in large numbers attacked a military checkpoint located around Zuma rock along Kaduna express road in Niger state by 8pm last night.
As at the time of filling this report, coreroporter couldn’t ascertain if they were casualties as a result of the attack.
However, Nigeria soldiers deployed from Zuma barracks immediately faced the attackers and subsequently dispersed them after they initially moved along the Abuja-Kaduna highway to cause panic, core reports.
Policemen according to eyewitness were also deployed.
As a result, motorists were forced to stop on the road in anxiety throughout the duration of the exchange between the troops and terrorists.
The latest attack is happening few days after the Presidential Brigade squad faced similar circumstance around Bwari area, located within the Federal Capital Territory.
