There are indications that the organised labour may call off the ongoing indefinite nationwide strike at the early hours of Tuesday.
Feelers from the ongoing meeting between the federal government and the leadership of the organised labour if there are anything to go by then by tomorrow workers would be in the working places because labour has tentatively agreed to call off the warning strike they emparked upon on Monday.
Core Reporters gathered that, the organised labour wanted the FG to agree on certain conditions that would lead to signing of agreement before they make the announcement for calling off the strike. But FG had labelled labour of embarking on an illegal strike action, however, all these have been put aside to enable organised labour call off the one day old strike and amiliorate the suffering of Nigerians.
The meeting led by the Secretary General of the Federal, George Akume has in attendance key representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC).
Recall that the leadership of the national assembly led by the Senate President and the Chairman of the national assembly, Godswill Akpabio held a meeting with the leadership of the organised labour on Sunday to halt the strike action, but unfortunately that was not achieved as the labour went ahead with the warning strike as earlier proposed.
